The @vaulteksafe works if you use it. The unintended consequences of not using a secure storage system is, your child could be hurt, someone else’s child could be hurt, your gun could be stolen, or it used in some other harmful way. Secure storage just makes sense when you have young kids in the house.

A common response that we hear is “I need to be able to get to my gun fast! “

“It will never be my kid, he wouldn’t do that!”

As you can see from the video, I can get into the gun in a second. Your defensive handgun is useless if a loved one can get hurt with it. While you might think your kid might never do this, have you thought about what other kids might do?

They have to know the condition of their firearm at all times. This is part of the process where we are teaching them responsibility. When it goes “click” when it should have gone “bang,” was it a misfire or is the gun “clear?” It’s their responsibility to know what condition is the chamber. Here is how we check it out. The adjustability allows us to include EVERY kid in the process. We can adjust them to fit. They are an incredible tool to help our outreach efforts. Many of the kids that join us have never shot a BB gun before. We give them all a safety brief, put on safety glasses then have fun. These have been a big hit. We love SAFETY and it shows!!

It’s one of the most important jobs that we do. Today we had the privilege of setting up at our friends from @sportingsystems2.0 for the annual Battle of the Bands. What a great event.
.
The majority of the kids that joined had never shot a BB gun before. We have only a short time to leave an impact that will leave a lasting impression on them. Often all it takes is simple instructions, some encouragement, and an opportunity for them to do something that they’ve never done before and then they leave with a huge smile on their faces.
.
Hearts and minds is how we change lives, very often it changes us as well. Special thanks to all of the volunteers that helped make it all a success. If you haven’t seen the smile on a five year old when he sees his target after he accomplishes his goal, you really need to. It’s food for the soul. We love SAFETY and it shows!!

We are pleased to announce our latest partnership with @vaulteksafe. They have come on board for 2023 as a Bronze level sponsor.

This partnership has been a long time in the making. We originally met the team from Vaultek back in 2019. We hit it off with them because we believe in the technology that they use. Their line of safes are innovative, portable, and give you instant access to your defensive firearm. While we have been using their products since 2019, today we make our partnership official. We are excited to be able to showcase their high quality products to the families that attend our events.

It is our plan to create new content dedicated solely to the importance of secure storage at all times when you don’t have direct control of your firearm. They say a picture says a thousand words, but in these pictures it tells a story. A story of how a complete system turns performance into art on a target.

Last year we did a fundraiser to get new equipment for our program. The goal was (10) scoped rifles for our new Teen program. We had tremendous sponsors that stepped up to help us with this mission. @sportingsystems2.0 provided the rifles, and 7 @huxwrx suppressors. HUXWRX provided the other 4. Next @vortexoptics provided the optics, and @warnescopemounts provided the mounts to hold everything together. Lastly @magpul provided the bipods for safety and stability!

As you can see through the series of pictures from 1 to 5 that this system is one that will benefit our program for many years to come. The last 2 are from when the wind picked up at 50 yards.

@pnwreloading was able to audit the class and put on a clinic. He has a great teacher, me! 😂😂 These @birchwoodcasey are the best in the business. Thanks to everyone that has believed in what we do and have invested in the next generation. We love SAFETY and it shows!!

It was a hot day on the range, but all in all the kids did great. We did our Kids Firearm Safety 2 class then transitioned to our Teen Rifle 1 class. A gear swap and a different approach teaches the teens responsibility and independence in a safe environment. This is where the growth happens. Thank you all for joining us and learning.
