The Roll Out
There is a buzz around my office. We are busy planning, preparing, and praying. We are in the final stages of the trademark and copyright process. What originally started as an idea in the middle of the night, all while driving a dump truck on a local construction project. It has been a very long journey sacrifices have been made, but a vision is quickly becoming a reality. The mission has remained the same, save the kids! What started as in idea has become a movement. There have been people from all over the country watching, cheering, and supporting what we do. We have done something very special and we are poised going into the future. We have a solid group of volunteers and board of directors. Managing a 501(c)3 Nonprofit Organization has been a challenge, especially one that is firearm related. It has been a tremendous learning experience. Our nonprofit status has been critical to our growth and continued success.
The planning that goes into what we are trying to accomplish is massive. We have to weigh protecting the Foundation, protecting the intellectual property, and most importantly protecting the kids. The trick is recruiting volunteers from all over the country that see the value in what we do for their local communities. The trick will be getting all of the volunteers on the same page, sharing the same message. How do we protect the kids? These are questions, that as the president of the Kids S.A.F.E. Foundation I have to find answers too. There are times that I get discouraged, I worry, and I want to give up. Then I remember that we haven’t gotten this far only to get this far. Failure is not an option, neither is giving up. The lives of children that we haven’t reached yet hang in the balance. The future of our country is with our children, they need leadership, common sense, and education. How do we get them to listen to what we have to say, though? It’s through action! It’s through experience! It’s through a positive message!
We are currently meeting with different organizations and state leaders from all over the country. There is a lot of interest in what we do and what we are trying to accomplish. Many see the value for their communities and they are as excited as we are. We still have al long way to go, but we inch closer to the end of the legal process. This will give us the time to continue to finalize our plans, our goal, 1 million kids!! It is a lofty goal, but we can do it with the help of others. Until we are ready we will continue to plan and prepare. The anticipation is killing me. I look forward to seeing how the roll out goes. It’s the goal to partner with Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s to teach our program in every store in the country. Together we will be able to reach thousands upon thousands of kids. This will make the impact that we believe will change the face of safety in this great nation. We look forward to keeping you all in the loop as we proceed. You can follow along here on our website or on Facebook, IG, Twitter, and TikTok!! Until next time be SAFE. ZERO firearm accidents is the only acceptable goal!!™
