What age should a child learn gun safety?

We recommend that you start teaching gun safety as early as possible for your kids to comprehend. They should know what NOT to do if the they ever come across a unsecured firearm.

What are the 4 basic rules of gun safety?
  1. Treat every gun as if it were loaded.
  2. Keep your muzzle pointed in a safe direction.
  3. Finger straight and off of the trigger until your sights are on the target.
  4. Make sure of your target, backstop and what is beyond.
Can kids get into gun safes?

We have heard horror stories of this happening. We believe education will take the novelty away from your firearms through proper education will help prevent your kids from being so inquisitive.

Can kids learn how to shoot?

Yes! Kids can learn how to shoot in a safe and controlled environment under the watchful eye of trained professionals. Typically we recommend the kids be 6-7 years old depending on their maturity.

Can a 12 year old shoot a 9mm?

It can be done. Proper supervision is very important. This is not an option that we offer. We strictly teach the kids with rimfires.

What age should a child start shooting?

We normally recommend the kids be at least 6 years old depending on their maturity. Each child is different and we try to recognize that each child learns a little bit differently. Safety is paramount.

What is trigger discipline?

Trigger discipline is something that is taught to children to ensure that their fingers are straight and off of the trigger until their sights are on the target. We then give them a command to FIRE. This teaches safety, discipline, and respect for firearms.

Why do kids use guns?

It is completely NORMAL for kids to shoot. It is part of our culture and should be encouraged not demonized.

What should a firearm owner teach their family?

They should teach their kids that guns are TOOLS not TOYS. They are not dangerous if treated safely and with respect.
