Tuesday, April 11, 2017
Eugene OR — Jefferson School District is providing a location for Kids S.A.F.E. Foundation to hold its Kids Firearm Safety education class. The first of its kind in the Jefferson community, this course introduces open, honest dialog between children and parents to protect families and prevent senseless tragedies through education.
“Our goal is to reach as many children as possible,” says founder and chief instructor, Derek LeBlanc. “With the support of the community, I am confident our goal will become a reality because ZERO Firearm Accidents is the Only Acceptable Goal!”
Along with individual and corporate sponsors, partnerships with school districts help ensure no child will ever be turned away from participating. Course content links knowledge of firearm safety with accident prevention.
This class will be presented on April 30, 2017, in the Jefferson Elementary School Gym from 5:00pm to 6:30pm. To be successful, children (5 years and up) must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
